What to Expect
Supermarket Sweep Challenge
Put your teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test. Groups will head to local supermarkets with a set budget and a shopping list of urgently needed items. The challenge? Secure the greatest variety and value while completing mini challenges along the way – all contributing to your team’s final score.
Warehouse Experience
Step into the role of a Redbridge Foodbank volunteer for the day. Teams will help with essential warehouse tasks including:
- Weighing and sorting donations
- Packing emergency food supplies
- Preparing emergency food parcels for local people in crisis
This hands-on experience provides valuable insight into how foodbanks operate and the impact community support makes every day.
Flexible Volunteering Days
Our volunteering programme can be tailored to suit your organisation:
- Combine both activities for a varied and interactive day
- Expand either the warehouse experience or supermarket challenge into a full-day session

To help us deliver a meaningful and well-organised experience, we charge a volunteering fee per participant.
This contribution supports the planning, coordination and delivery of your volunteering day, including staff and volunteer time, event preparation and the wider operational costs that help keep Redbridge Foodbank running.
Your support not only enables a successful volunteering experience but also helps sustain our work supporting local people facing hardship.
