Advance Minerva Charity

At Advance Minerva, we dedicate support to women who have been in contact with the Criminal Justice System. We do this by working closely with the National Probation Service, as well as other statutory services to get women all the help they need in one place. This includes emotional well-being, housing, domestic abuse, debts, benefits, education, training and employment.

Citizens Advice Redbridge

Citizens Advice Redbridge provides free, confidential, independent and impartial advice. Our goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. We’re an independent charity and part of the Citizens Advice network. Dedicated Citizens Advice team members can support clients in the early stages of a new Universal Credit (UC) claim, from application through to their first correct payment. If needed, we can also make a direct referral to our partners at CA Havering for enhanced UC-related support.

FiND – Redbridge Families Information Direct

FiND is a free, confidential service offering information, advice, and support to families in Redbridge. We help parents and carers access local services, childcare, activities, and resources to support their children’s development and wellbeing.

Ilford Community Grocery

Ilford Community Grocery provides affordable food and essential household items to the community. Bridging the gap between food banks and supermarkets, Community Grocery stores help keep families fed by providing affordable food and wrap-around support to those who need it, offering signposting and access to wider community support services and courses provided by CAP.

London Borough of Redbridge Benefit Service

We offer advice on benefits, budgeting, and cost-of-living support. Our team helps with Housing Benefit, Council Tax, hardship payments, and disability benefit applications. We also signpost to services like Work Redbridge, Citizens Advice, and support with utilities, furniture, and clothing.

London Borough of Redbridge Public Health

London Borough of Redbridge Public Health works to improve residents’ health and wellbeing, prevent illness, reduce health inequalities, and protect communities. It delivers services such as health checks, vaccinations, stop-smoking support, mental health initiatives, and outreach programmes, helping people live longer, healthier, independent lives.

London Borough of Redbridge Rent Specialist Support Team

The Rent Specialist Support Team provides enhanced support and assistance to vulnerable tenants with complex needs in both secure council and temporary accommodation, with the ultimate goal of maximising rent recovery and sustaining tenancies. We support our customers to ensure they are receiving their full benefits entitlement and provide income and expenditure advice.

Reach Out, Redbridge’s Domestic Abuse Service

Reach Out is a support service for any adult or child aged 16 or over in Redbridge who is experiencing domestic abuse.

Redbridge Carers Support Service (RCSS)

Redbridge carers support service (RCSS) provides advice, information, guidance, and specialist support to unpaid carers aged 16+ in Redbridge. We offer emotional support, monthly groups, benefit advise, dementia support, wellbeing activities, training, and signposting to local services. Helping carers feel recognised, informed and supported in their role.

Redbridge Community Engagement Coordinators (CECs)

CECs support people who may be isolated, causing concern or at risk of needing formal services. They work alongside clients, establishing what their vision for a good life is and then support them in achieving their goals; they help to find solutions to problems by drawing on family, friends and community resources.

Redbridge Institute

Transforming Lives Through Adult Education. We support Redbridge residents to retrain, upskill and gain qualifications to help unlock potential and fulfil their dream job. Funded through the Mayor of London’s Adult Education Budget, eligible residents of Redbridge can access this for free. Offering a wide range of part-time courses in the daytime, evenings, weekends and online, we provide flexible learning to fit around busy lives.

Samaritans Redbridge Branch

Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. We believe that suicide is preventable. Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope – day or night, 365 days a year.

SHP

SHP Redbridge Floating Support provides housing-related support to people in Redbridge who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  We help individuals and families sustain tenancies, and move on successfully. Our service supports diverse groups including young people, refugees, those with mental health, substance, or physical or sensory impairments, and survivors of domestic abuse.
